Goodbye summer.

She's just such a happy little spirit and that little preschool is lucky to have her. The teacher told me today that they would be working on spelling her last name because she can already spell and write her first name. With Brad being gone so for these months she already knows his phone number and types it in each night that we call him. She knows the street we live on. Is this how it happens? Is this how your child just gets older and you just keep moving on??

School is close enough that we walk.

Look at the mug. The world is just AWESOME, Chloe!

And just like that, B-rad is gone for another month. Oh how we loved having him home. I do EVERYTHING with brad so when he's gone and those everythings become 'alonethings' it's just sad, but okay. We've geared up for it and are excited for what the days hold for us.
I'm not sure who reads this blog but it'd be real cool if you wrote a word or two because I so look forward to your comments, being out here in Illinois and all!

Mel I read your blog and I love it! I'm sorry you have to do things alone, at least you have your two darling kids to keep you company :) Chloe is so adorable! She is getting so big! Love ya
Oh Melanie...I'm feeling your pain! We haven't seen Elliott in over 6 weeks and he still has 11 or 12 weeks of training in Georgia. It stinks! We're the same as you guys--we do EVERYTHING together. So--even the grocery shopping is sad when he's gone. Ellee just started pre-school too. I really need to update my blog one of these days...I keep thinking that, but then I just want to relax or read other people's blogs. :) Bytheway--where are you in Illinois? My brother and his wife just moved there a couple of weeks ago. He's doing his post-Doc. at ...hmmm...I should know this...some state university there...in a town called Champaign-Urbana or something. I hope the next month FLIES by--for both of us! Love your cute face!
I'm glad she is loving preschool. Can't wait to see you cute girls!
Such cute picture. At least you get to be in Utah for part of Brad's Seattle rotation. We can't wait to see you guys =)
You've got one smart cookie there. I love your pictures. Kate's been begging to go to school. Like three or four times a day. It didn't start til this week. Now she has to wait to for her tonsils to heal, maybe next week.
I forgot to tell you how cool your cubs t-shirt were. It looked like you had a great time.
Awesome pictures! Megan just started preschool too.
I drop in and read your blog every once in a while! Brian is on an outroation right now, but he's only 2.5 hours away in St. Louis so hopefully I'll see him every weekend. We are a team all the way, so I very much understand how strange it is to suddenly do those things without him there. There is a third year here he insists he will do all of his 4th year as out rotations. They have 3 kids and one on the way. I say good luck. I would not allow that myself. What does Brad want to go into?
Hey cute friend. Sorry I haven't commented forever. I'm such a computer slacker lately. Life just got busy, but I love it. Don't you feel like you have a "real life" and are a "real mom" when your days are full of running kids here and there, taking meals in, sending kids to friends houses, etc? Sending your kid to school if a huge sad and exciting milestone!
Chloe is so stinkin' cute and your photograpy is amazing.
Sorry that Brad is gone and are lonely. I wish you lived closer so we could play. Call me sometime and lets catch up!!!! Love your face!!
Danielle
I can't believe that she is old enough for preschool! And yes, that is pretty much exactly how they start growing up. Tab started K today! Crazy world we live in...huh? And I so feel your pain on being husbandless.
I love Chloe! Such a smart, delightful little girl! Can I just say that I CANNOT wait until Christmas?! Even though Brent is home this month I feel like I never see him. I hope things ease up after audition season is over.
I read it! Your little kiddos are so stinkin' cute! I really enjoy checking in on you guys every once in a while.
I feel your "husband is gone" pain. Jason is in the military. We've gone through one deployment and I'm already having anxiety attacks about when he leaves again next August. It makes the evenings lonely and the days long. Hang in there!
You are such a fun Mom! And you look fantastic!
i'm a total hypocrite because i want people to comment all the time on my blog yet i am lazy and don't always comment!
i always read your blog though and i love seeing what you are up to.
your kids are so darn cute and i can't believe chloe is in preschool already ... too fun!
I'm still here and I still read your blog because I love you, Mel. And your family. Cute Chloe. Is she really that old? Alex is in 1st grade. He'll be in junior high when Matt's all done. Pathetic. Oh yeah, and I'm joining your 30 club in a couple days. Ah!
Chloe is such a smart kid and such cutie. Sorry Brad is gone again. What did he decide to have his specialty be? I don't think I heard.
Crazy that our kids are old enough for preschool! Weren't they just a few months old and we were starting this whole med school thing and now we're nine months away from being done! When you're in Utah, if you have time to get together with everyone, I would love to drive down and see you guys!
Chloe is so cute and smart! I totally read your blog and have to say that I have never felt so nervous about 4th year until reading all your comments...yikes! Good luck being a single mommy!!
You're a lucky girl! She's amazing, like her mama.
